The Winterhawks play their home games at Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The arena is located in Portland’s Rose Quarter district, which is just east of downtown. The arena is easily accessible by car, with entrances and exits near Interstate 5 and Interstate 84. In addition, the Rose Quarter is a stop along the blue, red and yellow MAX lines.
The Veterans Memorial Coliseum has been home to the Winterhawks since the team’s inception in 1976. Every player who has ever suited up for the Hawks has played at the Coliseum, including NHL stars Cam Neely, Adam Deadmarsh, Brenden Morrow and Marian Hossa. The Coliseum is also where the Winterhawks won their first Memorial Cup in 1983.
