The Winterhawks Amateur Hockey Association (WAHA) is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that helps promote and support amateur hockey and recreational skating in the greater Portland/Vancouver area. WAHA funds a variety of important, youth-focused programs year-round including:
• The Get Kids Skating program which introduces thousands of kids to ice skating and hockey.
• Coaching, ice time, and player scholarships like the Justin Boyce Scholarship detailed above.
WAHA also administers the Winterhawks Player’s Education Fund, which pays for college expenses for Winterhawks players once their hockey careers have ended. WAHA has its own management and Board of Directors, which maintains complete control over all use and distribution of donated funds. And as a registered 501(c)(3) organization, your gift to WAHA is tax-deductible as allowed by law.
