Tight quarters
As if there needed to be any more pressure on a game between Portland and Seattle, this one’s got some big U.S. Division title race implications. The Hawks have climbed to within a point of the Thunderbirds, but Seattle holds two games in hand. After coming out on top in each of their last two meetings, the Winterhawks have the chance to make it three straight and leapfrog their bitter rival, even if it’s just on points.

Hanus hits a century
Clay Hanus picked up a pair of assists last night against Tri-City to hit 100 career points in the WHL. According to team historian Andy Kemper, Hanus is the 25th defenseman in Winterhawks history to record 100 points.
“It’s crazy because I didn’t think I’d be here. 100 is a really cool milestone and I’m just happy I’m on this team and did it with this team,” said Hanus post-game.
A fantastic milestone for a fantastic player. Congratulations Clay!
