Happy Holidays, Hawks fans!

Round Two
Last night saw the Hawks take two points in Vancouver, thanks to timely tallies from some B.C. natives in Kyle Chyzowski and Robbie Fromm-Delorme, as well as a career-high 40 saves from Jan Špunar. Tonight, the same two clubs face off again and Portland will be keen to hold serve in front of its hometown fans.
Though Dante Giannuzzi is likely to take over the crease for the latter half of this back-to-back, Špunar’s performance showcased how comfortable he is becoming in the Rose City and that he’s only scratched the surface of how good he can be.
“It’s a nice win, the guys helped me so much and now we have another game tomorrow so it’s right back to it. I feel they didn’t have really any (dangerous) chance(s), a lot of shots from the top of the zone so it was easier (to see). I’m happy. The rookies learn so much, I learn so much, so we’re practicing for the playoffs,” he said.
Regardless of who is in net, we know the Hawks fans can make the difference in tonight’s contest. Just one more game before the holiday break and the time away is always sweeter when it begins with two points, so bring the noise tonight, Portland!
