The Pats GM Alan Millar spoke to the media on January 2, 2024, discussing the recent moves over the weekend.
The Pats have traded the rights to Washington Capitals prospect Alex Suzdalev and a 2025 WHL Prospects Draft sixth-round pick for rookie centre Zach Moore, Slovakian defenceman Sam Barcik, the rights to 16-year-old defender Dayton Deschamps, 2025 fourth-round pick and a first and third-round pick in the 2026 draft.
The Pats followed the move by sending blueliner Parker Berge south of the border to Everett in exchange for veteran Silvertips defender Ty Gibson and a 2025 second-round pick.
The shuffle continued as Regina also acquired 5-foot-11 defenceman Tyson Buczkowski, a 2024 fourth-round pick and a 2026 conditional third-round pick from the Prince George Cougars in exchange for forward Borya Valis.
Finally, the Pats obtained Harper Lolacher from the Moose Jaw Warriors in return for a 2025 conditional seventh-round pick.
