Pats Kids Club Event: Fun, Games, and Smiles!
Our young fans are the future of Pats, and we love creating special moments for them! On March 2nd, some of our players, along with our beloved mascot K9, spent the day at Victoria Square Mall’s amusement park and mini-golf arena for a Pats Kids Club event. It was all about fun and games as the kids got to interact with their hockey heroes, sharing laughs, stories, and, of course, a little competitive spirit on the mini-golf course! Events like these remind us why we love the game—it’s about inspiring the next generation and building a passionate community of hockey lovers.
A Day to Remember for the U11 Weyburn Blizzard
Winning the WHL’s McSweeney’s Training Day is no small feat, and the U11 Weyburn Blizzard earned their moment in the spotlight! These young players got the full Regina Pats experience, spending the day at the Brandt Centre with our team and coaching staff. From learning new skills to soaking in advice from their WHL heroes, it was a day of excitement, development, and inspiration. The energy and enthusiasm these young athletes brought to the rink were contagious, and we have no doubt we’ll be seeing some of them making waves in hockey in the future!
Hockey Gives Blood: Saving Lives One Donation at a Time
Hockey is more than a game—it’s a platform for making a difference. On March 12th, Hockey Gives Blood ambassadors Kolten Bridgeman and John Babcock led a group of dedicated donors to Canadian Blood Services. Donating blood is a simple yet powerful way to help those in need, and our players were proud to roll up their sleeves for a cause that saves lives every day. Every drop counts, and seeing the hockey community come together for such an important initiative is what makes this sport truly special.
Gear Up for a Cause: Supporting Youth in Need
Pats fans, you never fail to show up when it matters most! On March 26th, we wrapped up an incredible month of giving back by collecting gently used sports gear for youth in need. Donations poured in to support the Ranch Ehrlo Society & North Central Family Centre, ensuring that more kids have the equipment they need to chase their athletic dreams. Hockey and sports in general should be accessible to everyone, and thanks to your generosity, we’re helping remove barriers and making sure more young athletes have the opportunity to play.

Breaking the Ice on Mental Health | February 1
We kicked off the month with our annual CMHA Mental Health Game in partnership with CMHA Regina. This game was about more than just hockey—it was about starting conversations and raising awareness about athlete mental health. Mental wellness is just as important as physical health, and we’re proud to continue shining a light on this cause.
Delivering More Than Just Pizza | February 5
For Have a Heart Night, Pats players hit the road to deliver pizzas, but this wasn’t your average delivery run. Every tip and delivery fee went straight to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, helping those affected by heart disease and stroke. A little kindness (and a lot of pizza) goes a long way!

Pats Players Take on the CardiacCrash™ Program
The Pats made history by becoming the first sports team in Canada to participate in Heart & Stroke’s CardiacCrash™ course. This groundbreaking program equipped our players with essential life-saving skills to respond in cardiac emergencies, reinforcing the importance of heart health both on and off the ice. We’re incredibly proud to be part of this initiative and to set the standard for sports teams nationwide.
Skate with the Pats x George Gordon First Nation
Hockey is for everyone, and we were honoured to share the ice with members of George Gordon First Nation for a special Skate with the Pats session. Seeing young skaters lace up their skates, glide across the ice, and connect with our players made for an unforgettable evening filled with fun, friendship, and the true spirit of community.
Pats K9 Bobblehead Night Scores Big!
One of the most anticipated events of the month, the Pats K9 bobblehead night, was a massive success! Fans were thrilled to get their hands on this special collectible, but more importantly, the proceeds from the event went towards supporting the Westridge Female Challenge. This initiative is dedicated to growing opportunities for female athletes in hockey, making this night not just a celebration but a meaningful step toward inclusivity in the sport.
Celebrating Sask Literacy Day
Hockey and education go hand in hand! We teamed up with Regina Library and United Way Regina to highlight the importance of literacy at our Minor Hockey Night Game. From book giveaways to interactive activities, the night was all about encouraging young minds to discover the power of reading—because strong readers make strong leaders, on and off the ice!
An Evening of skating with our amazing fans at the Access Communications Community Rink
Pats players and our beloved mascot, K9 hit the ice at the Access Communications Community Rink for an evening filled with laughter, stick taps, and unforgettable moments. Events like these remind us why we love this game and the incredible people who support it.
We couldn’t have made these moments happen without the incredible support of our fans, community partners, and everyone who joined us along the way. January set the tone for an exciting year ahead, and we can’t wait to continue building these connections. We’re just getting started—See Them Rise!

The Regina Pats had an unforgettable December in the hearts of our community. This past month, we embraced the spirit of giving and showed that hockey is more than a game—it’s about coming together to uplift those around us. Here’s how we made an impact:

Teddy Bear Toss – Over 3,000 Reasons to Smile
December 14th marked our Annual Teddy Bear Toss, a tradition since 1996 that never fails to amaze. This year, our fans showed their immense generosity once again by donating over 3,000 stuffed toys. These bears are heading to organizations in and around Regina, spreading warmth and love to children and families during the holiday season. We couldn’t have done it without you!
Double Tree Inner City School Lunch
On December 19th, the Pats Business Office team stepped away from their desks and rolled up their sleeves to volunteer at the Double Tree’s 30th Annual Inner City School Lunch. Giving back never tasted so good!
Nickelodeon Game Night – Jerseys for a Cause
During our special Nickelodeon Game Night on December 28th, our online jersey auction raised an incredible $11,360 for the Children’s Miracle Network. From every bid to every cheer in the stands, your support helped us make miracles happen for kids in need.
Santa for Seniors – Spreading Holiday Cheer
For the second year, we teamed up with the Regina Heritage Community Association for Santa for Seniors. This amazing initiative brightens the holidays for seniors who might otherwise spend the season alone. Together, we provided 30 personalized gift bags filled with love and thoughtful items for seniors in need. In total, 113 seniors felt the joy of opening a present made just for them.
This December, we didn’t just see the Pats rise—we saw our community rise together. From our youngest fans to our most seasoned supporters, every act of kindness reminds us what the holiday season is truly about. Thank you for being part of our journey to make Regina a brighter, warmer place for everyone.
