Regina, Sask. — The Regina Pats had had their six game winning-streak come to an end on Sunday afternoon following a 5-2 loss to the Saskatoon Blades inside the Brandt Centre.
The Pats pickup four of a possible six points, going 2-1 over their three-in-three weekend. The game Pats led 1-0 after one and were tied 2-2 after two before the Blades mustered together three unanswered goals in the third period.
Sam Oremba (1G-1A) and Alexander Suzdalev scored for the Pats while Stanislav Svozil tallied two assists and Drew Sim made 32 saves.
For the Blades, they’ve now won five in a row and are 9-0-1 over their last 10 games. Trevor Wong led the way for the Blades with a hat-trick (3G-1A), including the tying goal in the second. Egor Sidorov scored twice as well as the go-ahead goal in the third. Austin Elliot made 22 saves in the win.

THE GOALS
First Period
REG 1-0 at 18:24 — Alexander Suzdalev (36), assisted by Stanislav Svozil and Sam Oremba // Svozil dangled his way around a forward along the Blade blueline and sent a pass to Suzdalev down deep on the right wing and the birthday boy fried a one-timer past Elliott to give the Pats a 1-0 lead late in the opening stanza.
Second Period
SAS 1-1 at 8:23 — Trevor Wong (21), assisted by Jake Chiasson and Charlie Wright // The Blades broke in on an odd-man rush and Chiasson found Wong who was going hard to the net and he tipped it over Sim to tie the game up at 1-1.

REG 2-1 at 10:34 — Sam Oremba (9), assisted by Stanislav Svozil and Tye Spencer // Moments after Elliott made a nice save in the Blades net, the Pats gained control where Svozil found Orema who beat Elliott to give the Pats a 2-1 lead.
SAS 2-2 at 11:56 — Tyler Wong (22), assisted by Connor Roullette and Jake Chiasson // Sim stopped the initial shot but the Pats defender in front had trouble corralling the loose puck and Wong fired a shot over the Pats netminder to tie the game up a 2-2.
Third Period
SAS 2-3 at 2:17 — Erog Sidorov (39), assisted by Trevor Wong (4-on-4) // Bedard hit the post and the Blades brought it back the other way and Sidorov took advantage ripping the puck past Sim to give the Blades a 3-2 lead early in the third period.
SAS 2-4 at 6:39 — Egor Sidorov (40), assisted by Jayden Weins and Brandon Lisowsky // Three Blades managed to elude the Pats back-checkers and Sidorov is able to get the puck past Sim to give the Blades a 4-2 lead.
SAS 2-5 at 18:33 — Trevor Wong (23), unassisted (EN) // The Blades controlled a defensive zone face-off and Wong cleared it down the length of the ice and into the empty net sealing the Blades win.
