Regina, Sask. – The Regina Pats play the fourth game of this five game homestand tonight at 7pm against the rival Swift Current Broncos, marking the first of six meetings against them this season.

The Regina Pats look to get back in the win column tonight against their Eastern Division rival.
The Pats had their two game winning-streak come to a close on Wednesday, suffering a 5-1 loss to the WHL’s top ranked Everett Silvertips. Despite the final result, the Pats kept the game tight, limiting the Silvertips to just 33 shots and 23 through 40 minutes. The Pats and Silvertips were tied 1-1 up until the final 11 minutes of the second frame, where the Tips’ rattled off three straight goals to take a 4-1 lead into the intermission.
Anthony Wilson scored the Pats only goal, with assists to Tye Spencer and Cohen Klassen. Klassen picked up his first WHL point, and Ewan Huet made 28 saves in the loss. The final shots were 33-28 for Everett. The Pats went 0-1 on their power play and 2-3 on their penalty kill.
Meanwhile, the Swift Current Broncos are coming off a 4-1 win over the Calgary Hitmen on Wednesday, and have now won their last four games since beginning the season 0-3. The game was scoreless until the final eight minutes of the second period, as it was Calgary who got first blood to lead 1-0. The Broncos then strung together four straight goals, with one in the second to tie it and three more in the third.
Reid Dyck made 30 saves in the victory, and three different Broncos players had multi-point games with Brady Birnie (1G-1A) Luke Mistelbacher (1G-1A) and Clarke Caswell (1G-1A) finding the scoresheet twice. The final shots were 31-16 for Calgary. The Broncos went 0-3 on their power play and 3-3 on their penalty kill.
WHO TO WATCH
Anthony Wilson got on the board on Wednesday for Regina’s only goal, tucking a nifty backhander five-hole on a partial breakaway. Wilson has now scored twice this season, with both of them coming over his last three contests. Additionally, the Swift Current, Sask. product had six points (1G-5A) in seven games against the Broncos last season.
Clarke Caswell and Luke Mistelbacher are tied for the team lead in scoring with nine points each this season. Caswell is a second fifth-round pick of the Seattle Kraken and has eight assists so far this season. Last season, the Brandon, Man. product had seven points (4G-3A) in six points against the Pats.
