OHL Mourns the loss of Trevor Shilston
After a brief illness, Trevor Leslie Shilston (1934-2012) passed peacefully in his sleep on December 1, 2012.
Known to his family as “Treasure”, Trevor’s passion in life was Hockey. For many years, Trevor was a successful and highly respected coach and manager with the Toronto Marlboros of the MTHL. Trevor was Director of Scouting for several Ontario Hockey League teams including the Belleville Bulls and the Kitchener Rangers who won a MasterCard Memorial Cup title during his tenure in 1982.
Trevor also served as Governor of the Detroit Junior Red Wings and the Plymouth Whalers. He really enjoyed working with all the young players and watching them succeed in their careers, both inside and outside the arena. He truly loved everything about the Sport of Hockey!
In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, a donation may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Please join the family for a “Celebration of Life” reception on Thursday, December 13, 2012 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at 45 Livingston Road, Floor B1, Guildwood Village, Scarborough, Ontario.
