Tough Knight
London, ON – Add another one to the record books for the London Knights.
Friday in London the Sting would fall victim to the Knights 7-0 in what would be London’s 50th win on the season. The Knights are the first teams in CHL history to post back-to-back 50 win seasons.
The play of Sting starting goaltender Ryan Munce was not indicative of the 7-0 score as Munce would have no chance on many of the Knights goals.
In fact 5 of the 7 London goals would come on the powerplay as the Knights were 5 for 8 on the man advantage.
London was led by one of its role players as it was Trevor Kell recording his first career OHL hat-trick.
The other Knight goals would come from top guns as Corey Perry, Dylan Hunter, Danny Syvret and ex-Sting Danny Fritsche would light the lamp rounding out the scoring.
The loss ended a stretch of 5-straight game on the road for the Sting who will be more then happy to return to the SSEC on Sunday night to take on the Sault Ste Marie Greyhounds. Game time is 6:00. Visit the box office or call 541-1717 for tickets.
