Sting Lose A Tight One In Barrie
Barrie, ON – The Sarnia Sting took their 2-game road winning streak into the Barrie Molson Centre and unfortunately would leave with their streak no longer in tact.
If there would be any consolation it would be that the Sting were able to take the play to and hold a lead for most of the evening on the road vs. one of the top teams in the country.
The Sting would hold 1-0 and 2-1 leads at different points in the game but could just not widen the gap and put the Colts away.
The Colts would show why they are one of the top teams in the league and in the entire CHL as they would answer each Sting goal within minutes and then would score the eventual winner midway through the third period.
Scoring for the Sting would be Tomas Pospisil and the recently acquired Vince Scott, who would score his second as a member of the Sting in as many games.
Mark Katic would lead the point parade with a pair of assists. Sebastian Dahm was in the nets for the Sting and would make 28 saves in a losing cause.
The Sting continue the weekend road trip on Friday night when they make their only visit of the season to Sudbury to take on Marc Staal and the Wolves.
