Wolves Earn Win With Big Third Period
Sudbury, ON – The Sarnia Sting continued their 5-game road trip Friday in Sudbury and may have shown the effects of being on the road in giving up 4 third period goals and lost 5-4 to the Wolves.
The Sting would jump out of the gate in a hurry building up a 3-0 lead after one period on a pair of Trevor Kell goals with the single going to Vince Scott.
The Wolves would get one past Sting goaltender Sebastian Dahm in the second making the score 3-1 for the Sting heading into the third period.
In the third the Wolves would score early and often and would use the momentum of their crowd to outscore the Sting 4-1 in the period securing the 5-4 victory.
Chris Mifflen would score his first goal as a member of the Sting counting for Sarnia’s only goal of the third period.
The Sting look to salvage two points for the weekend when they travel to Owen Sound on Sunday following an off day on Saturday.
