Sting Hit The Road On High Note
Sarnia, ON – It was a total team effort, however one player stood out and stole the show Friday night as the Sting downed division rival Windsor 4-1.
Brad Efthimiou started the scoring for the Sting early on in the first and rounded it out midway through the third to complete his first hat-trick as a member of the Sting. Efthimiou would also add a marker in the second sandwhiched in between the games opening and closing goals.
Also scoring for the Sting with his first of the season and first as a member of the Sting was Jordan Grant.
Ryan Munce wasn’t tested often but was strong when needed in the Sting nets. The only puck that would get by Munce all game was a David Lomas shot on the power play with Munce down and out after making the initial save.
Not scoring but also having strong games for the Sting were forwards Jamie Fraser (2 assists, 3rd Star of Game) and Mathis Olimb (1 assist, 2nd Star of Game)
The Sting head out on the road to take on the Erie Otters Saturday night and then to Mississauga to take on the Ice Dogs Sunday afternoon.
