Toronto, ON – The HDCO (Hockey Development Centre For Ontario) has released the rosters for the 2008 U-17 Final Evaluation Camp to be held in Thunder Bay June 27 29.
The final evaluation camp is comprised of the top 84 players in Ontario who made it through regional camps throughout Ontario in April.
The Sting will be well represented sending four of its 2008 draft choices to the camp.
Gregg Sutch (1st/11th overall), Mitch Zion (5th/88th overall), Nathan Chiarlitti (5th/99th overall), Brett Vickers (12th/211th overall), and Jordan Benton (13th/231st overall), will be among the hopefuls looking to represent Ontario.
The goal of the provincial selection camp is to provide the players with an intensive, high-caliber training opportunity as well as a positive learning experience, both on and off the ice. It also serves to facilitate the process of identifying players who will ultimately be selected to represent Team Ontario at the 2009 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, being held in Port Alberni, BC taking place December 29th, 2008 – January 4th, 2009
