Sting Sign Forwards Ryan Chamberlain And JJ Franceschetti
Sarnia Sting General Manager Dylan Seca announced this morning that the Hockey Club has signed 16-year-old Ryan Chamberlain and 19-year-old JJ Franceschetti to Ontario Hockey League Scholarship and Development Agreements.
Selected in the 5th round, 101st overall, Seca added 6’0 forward Ryan Chamberlain in this year’s 2024 OHL Priority Selection from the Toronto Marlboros U16AAA. The Peterborough, Ontario native tallied 12 goals and 11 assists in 55 games last season.
On the signing of Chamberlain, Seca comments:
“Ryan is a player that we believe might have been the best skater in the ‘08 draft class, this skill set is something we value. He had a great summer and left a positive impression on the scouts and coaches this past week. With that he’s earned a position with the club this season. We welcome the Chamberlain family to Sarnia.”
Franceschetti, a 5’10” native of Toronto, spent the 2023-24 season with the Toronto Patriots of the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL). The competitive forward tallied 20 points in 35 games played with 4 goals and 16 assists.
On the addition of Franceschetti, Seca comments:
“JJ is a player that caught the eye of our staff over the last year. He’s a competitive player who is comfortable with his physical play. We believe his character, compete level and leadership will help support the younger players. We welcome the Franceschetti family to Sarnia”.
