Islanders Lock Up Another Sting Prospect

The New York Islanders announced that they have signed Sting forward to a three year entry level contract.

DiBenedetto, the OHL’s overage player of the year, was a sixth round selection of the Islanders in 2008.

Both Katic and DiBenedetto will join Bridgeport of the American Hockey League as they gear up for the playoffs.

Bridgeport already features ex-Sting players Jon Sim, Jamie Fraser and Micheal Haley.
