Game Recap: Rangers Return the Favour and Spoil Attack Home Opener with 4-1 Victory
Owen Sound, Ont. – The Rangers successfully returned the favour to the Attack spoiling their home opener celebrations. Kitchener jumped out to a two-goal lead before Pierce Mbuyi scored another power play goal for the Attack which had the Rangers leading by one after 40 minutes of play.
Kitchener locked it down in the third period, only allowing six shots on net and adding two empty net goals to secure their first win of the season. Tanner Lam scored twice in the game, once on the power play which held up as the game winning goal, and iced the game with the first empty net goal. Cambridge, Ontario native, Ryder Roberson scored the Rangers first goal of the season which was hist first career OHL goal.
Once again, Jason Schaubel was stellar allowing just one goal in two consecutive games to start the season.
