Game Recap: Pierce Mbuyi Scores Late Power Play Goal to Sink Rangers on Opening Night
Kitchener, Ont. – Although there was only one goal in the game, it did not have a shortage of excitement. Kitchener came close hitting the post on five separate occasions and denied by three ten-bell saves from Ryerson Leenders in the Owen Sound goal. Pierce Mbuyi capitalized with under three minutes to play in regulation on a later power play opportunity.
Jason Schaubel was also stellar in the game coming up with big saves in key moments, keeping the game scoreless as long as he could.
