Colts Name Austin Roots-Mackay Head Equipment Manager
The Barrie Colts announced today that Austin Roots-MacKay has been named the club’s Head Equipment Manager for the upcoming season.
Roots-MacKay returns to the Colts organization after spending the past few seasons with the club as Assistant Equipment Manager. He remains with the Colts after a stint in the ECHL with the Bloomington Bison, an affiliate of the New York Rangers and Hartford Wolf Pack, where he served as Assistant Equipment Manager and gained valuable experience operating at the professional level.
With a strong foundation built through his time in Barrie and further developed within a professional organization, Roots-MacKay brings a well-rounded and experienced perspective to the role as he takes over the Colts’ day-to-day equipment operations for the upcoming season.
