Bittner Undergoes Successful Surgery
Portland Winterhawks forward Paul Bittner underwent successful hip surgery over the weekend and will be out indefinitely.
“Unfortunately, after Paul suffered an injury to his hip it was determined to be severe enough to require surgery,” said Portland Winterhawks General Manager & Head Coach Jamie Kompon. “Paul underwent a successful procedure this weekend, and we will monitor his recovery progress.”
Bittner had 10 goals and 11 assists for 21 points in 25 games prior to the injury. He’s in his fourth season with the Winterhawks, with career totals of 78 goals and 86 assists for 164 points in 199 games. Bittner was selected by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the second round of the 2015 NHL Draft, 38th overall.
