Celebrate Pacific Islander Night with the Winterhawks on February 8

Join us on Saturday, February 8, at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum for an unforgettable evening celebrating culture, community, and the rich heritage of the Pacific Islander community. The Pacific Islander Celebration Night will honor the traditions, contributions, and enduring legacy of Pacific Islanders with an exciting and meaningful experience!

Event Highlights:

The night will begin at 5:00 PM as soon as fans enter the Glass Palace with a concourse entertainment from the Hawaiian band, NW Blend as soon as you enter the doors that embody the Pacific Islander heritage. The night will also have performances and appearances from local groups to showcase these groups’ and their contributions. We are proud to collaborate with the following organizations:

Fans will be treated to a cultural entertainment featuring traditional music and dance performances throughout the night which will be showcased in-game and on the concourse, including:

• Live pre-game Haka performance
• Teva Oriata, Portland’s authentic Tahitian dance studio, will bring the beauty of Polynesia to life with dances and melodies representing the entire region.
• Northwest Blend, a unique Hawaiian band that offers an array of music with a special harmony
