Best of luck to Winterhawks prospects competing at Circle K Classic!
It’s tournament season for a handful of Winterhawks at the Circle K Classic!
Formerly known as the Mac’s Tournament, the Circle K Classic is a prestigious ice hockey tournament held annually in December for U18 players hosted in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The tournament was first held in 1978 as the CP Challenge Cup, the tournament currently features 32 teams from across Canada, the United States and Europe. This year’s edition kicks off Dec. 27 and runs through Jan. 4.
Nine Winterhawks prospects playing U18 hockey are hoping to follow in the footsteps of current Hawk Ryan Miller, who captured the championship with South Alberta Hockey Academy last year.
