Three Pats to Play in U-17’s

 Regina, Saskatchewan – The Regina Pats are proud to announce that Morgan Klimchuk and Kyle Burroughs have been named to play for Team Pacific while Pats prospect, Colby Williams has been named to Team West for the upcoming World U-17 Hockey Challenge. The tournament runs from December 29th, 2011 to January 4th, 2012 in Windsor, Ontario.

Team Pacific is made up of players from B.C. and Alberta while Team West comprises players from Saskatchewan and Manitoba that will compete against the top 16 year old players from around the world.

Forward, Morgan Klimchuk was a first round pick, 5th overall in the 2010 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft. With 6 goals and 8 assists, Morgan is currently tied for 9th in rookie WHL scoring with 14 points and is 4th on the Regina Pats in scoring.

Defenceman, Kyle Burroughs was a 3rd round pick, 47th overall in the 2010 Western Hockey League Draft. This season, Burroughs has played in 15 games with the Regina Pats and has a goal and 2 assists along with 20 minutes in penalties.

The Regina Pats embark on their annual trip out west this week beginning Saturday in Spokane. Puck drops at 9:05pm Regina time with the Press Box Sports Bar pregame show kicking off at 8:40 on 620 CKRM.
