The Week That Was
Wednesday, September 25th – Pats 6 @ Edmonton 0
Everything clicked for the Pats to open their Alberta road swing. A last minute change had Dawson MacAuley between the pipes and he went on to stop 34 shots for his first WHL shutout. The beleaguered Pats penalty kill came up perfect on seven opportunities and added two shorthanded goals. The Pats offence exploded for four goals in the second period en route to the 6-0 victory. Morgan Klimchuk was named first star with two goals and an assist in the contest.
Friday, September 27th – Pats 1 @ Red Deer 4
Coming off a successful night in Edmonton, the Pats offence struggled to gain traction in Red Deer. The Rebels got goals from Conner Bleackley and Rhyse Dieno in the first and that would be all they needed for the win. Chandler Stephenson scored the Pats’ lone goal while Matt Bellerive and Grayson Pawlenchuk added markers of their own for the Rebels. Rookie goaltender Taz Burman stopped 16 of 17 shots for the win while Dawson MacAuley made 23 saves in the loss.
Saturday, September 28th – Pats 1 @ Kootenay 3
The Pats offence was back to creating chances in Kootenay, but ran into Wyatt Hoflin. The Ice back-up netminder made 31 saves on the night to hold the Blue and White scoreless until the final minutes of the contest. With the Pats down 2-0 late, Chandler Stephenson scored a shorthanded goal to cut the deficit. The comeback bid fell short as Jaedon Descheneau scored into the empty net to cap off a hat-trick for the shifty forward.

The Week Ahead
Friday, October 4th – Pats @ Swift Current
The Pats and Broncos go head-to-head for the third time in this young season as the Pats look to avenge a pair of opening weekend losses to Swift Current (7-2, 3-2). The contest can be heard on 620 CKRM starting at 6:35 p.m.
Sunday, October 6th – Saskatoon @ Pats
After five straight road games, the Blue and White return home to face-off with the Saskatoon Blades. Check out classic cars on the Brandt Centre concourse with A&W “Cruisin the Dub” Car Show Night in support of the MS Society.

Cruisin the ‘Dub
The Regina Pats and A&W present our first “Cruisin the ‘Dub” Car Show and Competition in support of the MS Society coming up at the Pats’ next home game, Sunday, October 6th when the Pats face off with their rivals, the Saskatoon Blades. We’re looking for some great cars to showcase at the game, so come and show off your vehicle on the concourse of the Brandt Centre between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. to help raise funds for a great cause.
