The Week That Was
Thursday, September 6th – Pats 3 Wheat Kings 1
The Pats opened the WHL Pre-Season at the Cooperators Centre against the Brandon Wheat Kings with a 3-1 victory. Forward Patrick D’Amico had an impressive game with a goal and an assist while rookie netminder Teagan Sacher came up big with a thirty-two save performance
Friday, September 7th – Wheat Kings 5 Pats 3
The next night, the Pats struck out for Brandon for their first road game of the exhibition season. Things got rough for the Pats in the second as they found themselves down 4-1. However, a powerplay goal from newcomer Keaton Lubin gave the Pats hope heading to the third. They would draw within one, but the Wheat Kings added some insurance to come away with the 5-3 win while outshooting the Pats 33-17.

The Week Ahead
Friday, September 14th
The Pats play their first game on their home ice Friday as they take on the Saskatoon Blades at the Brandt Centre. Like the Pats, the Blades split their first two exhibition games against Prince Albert (L6-2, W6-3).
Saturday, September 15th
In the back-half of the home and home set, the Pats travel to Saskatoon to face the Blades at the Credit Union Centre. That game can be heard on 620 CKRM beginning at 6:35 with the Press Box Pre-Game Show.

Hockey and Hammers II
This Wednesday, the Pats join with Mosaic and Habitat for Humanity to assist with the construction of a home for a deserving family. The Pats players will be on site to help build a fence at the new home.
Raise-a-Reader
Wednesday, September 19th, the Pats team up with the Leader-Post to collect donations and distribute the special Raise-a-Reader edition of the Leader-Post.
