PREVIEW
The Regina Pats begin a stretch where they will play 10 of their next 11 games away from the Brandt Centre, as they take on the Wheat Kings in the third of eight meetings.
The Pats are looking to snap their eight game skid tonight at Westoba Place, eying their first win since October 19 (W, 8-0 vs SEA). The Pats are coming off a tight 3-2 loss to the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Sunday at the Brandt Centre. The Pats got goals from Logan Peskett and Tanner Howe, as well as a 22-save performance from 19-year-old goaltender Kelton Pyne. The final shots were 25-21 for the Hurricanes. The Pats went 0-7 on their power play and 3-4 on their penalty kill.
Meanwhile, the Wheat Kings have dropped their last two contests (0-1-1), and are coming off a 3-0 loss to the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Monday at Westoba Place, breaking a seven game point-streak. Carson Bjarnason got the start in net, allowing just two goals on 32 shots. Hurricanes youngster Koen Cleaver posted a 35 save shutout in the Canes’ victory. Both teams were 0-1 on their power plays.
Despite the loss, the Wheat Kings are 5-1-2 over their last eight games.
