Pats prospects Ty Smilanic and Daniil Gushchin ranked for 2020 NHL Draft
Two prospects of the Regina Pats, forwards Ty Smilanic and Daniil Gushchin are among the players ranked by the NHL’s Central Scouting Service for the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.
Smilanic, the Pats third round pick in the 2017 WHL Bantam Draft, comes in as an ‘A’ skater as a potential first round draft pick. Smilanic is currently playing with the US National Development Program, he has two assists in two games to start the year.
Gushchin was drafted by the Pats in the first round of the 2019 CHL Import Draft. He is ranked a ‘B’ skater as a potential second or third round pick. He has played in four games this year with the Muskegon Lumberjacks of the USHL.
