GAME DAY: Hurricanes Look to Win Season Series in Final Meeting Against Warriors
Lethbridge, AB – The Lethbridge Hurricanes will make their final regular season trip to Saskatchewan tonight as they visit the Moose Jaw Warriors at 6:00pm MT at the Moose Jaw Events Centre.
The Hurricanes (29-27-5-0) enter after having their four-game winning streak end on Friday with a 4-0 loss to the Brandon Wheat Kings at the ENMAX Centre. Lethbridge was outshot 29-23 by Brandon in the game as it marked the seventh shutout defeat of the season for the ‘Canes. The Hurricanes enter tonight with a 4-1-0-0 record in their last five games while having posted a 12-18-0-0 record on the road.
The Warriors (41-19-0-2) enter on a seven-game winning streak after earning a 6-3 victory over the Regina Pats at home. Matthew Savoie scored twice while Brayden Schuurman, Denton Mateychuk, Atley Calvert and Lynden Lakovic potted the others in the win; Jackson Unger made 25-saves in the win. Moose Jaw enters tonight with a 21-9-0-1 record at home this year.
Tonight will be final of five meetings on the season between the Hurricanes and Warriors; Lethbridge has posted a 2-2-0-0 record in the previous four match ups as the home team as been victorious in all four contests this season.
