Training Camp Day 3 Recap
Vancouver, B.C. – The second full day of Giants Training Camp took place on Friday, September 1 at the Ladner Leisure Centre, presented by Chevrolet.
The day consisted of a goalie session in the morning, followed by four scrimmages, as Team Byram, Team Gallagher, Team Kane and Team Lucic each played two 50-minute, run-time games.
Below are the results:
GAME 1 – Team Lucic 5, Team Gallagher 0
Team Lucic (grey) got five goals from five different players in this one, as Adam Titlbach, Caden Cail, Skyler Bruce, Tyler Thorpe and Gavin Karl each found the back of the net.
We caught up with 20-year-old forward Skyler Bruce after his first scrimmage earlier today, where he tallied 3 points.

GAME 2 – Team Byram 3, Team Kane 1
Team Byram (maroon) got out to a 3-0 lead thanks to goals from Hudson Landmark, Colton Langkow and Teo Lin. Jaden Lipinski scored the lone goal for Team Kane late in the game to make it 3-1, as that was as close as they’d get.
GAME 3 – Team Gallagher 4, Team Byram 2
This was the closest game of the day. Ty Halaburda, Mazden Leslie and Sam Brown helped Team Gallagher (white) jump out to a 3-0 lead, but Team Byram fought back with tallies from Max Malinousky and Zack Lagrange. With the goalie pulled, Team Byram pushed late to try to tie things up, but Tyus Sparks iced the game with an empty-net goal.
GAME 4 – Team Lucic 6, Team Kane 1
Team Lucic was the only team to win both of their games, as they finished the day with a blowout win over Team Kane. Cameron Schmidt, the Giants 7th overall pick from 2022, led the way with a hat-trick. Also scoring for Team Lucic were Titlbach, Braydon Riggall and Thorpe.
“I can’t wait to be on the ice again.”
