Barley Merchant Presents: The Langley Loop Breweries

New for the 2024-25 season, the Giants, in partnership with The Barley Merchant Taproom & Kitchen, are proud to present: The Langley Loop Breweries.

The Barley Merchant is a locally owned restaurant located just up the street from the Langley Event Centre in Walnut Grove by the Colossus Movie Theatre. Everything they serve behind their bar is made by independent producers around BC. They have 50 taps all together and love to showcase Langley so it made perfect sense for them to help curate a tap list where they could offer a diverse selection of beers from the EIGHT Langley Breweries, collectively known as “The Langley Loop!”

Over the course of the 2024-25 Giants season, different craft beers from the eight local breweries will be featured. For the first nine home games of the season – from Sept. 20 – Nov. 16 – here’s what’s on tap! To view an image of the current tap list, click here.

Steel Toe Lager

A smooth and refreshing craft lager made for enjoying after a hard day’s work.

ABV: 5.0% – IBU: 14

German Pilsner

Noble hops and pilsner malt yield delicate floral notes and a light biscuity body.

ABV: 5.0% – IBU: 35

Upstream Pale Ale

West coast hops & Norwegian yeast produce tangerine, lemon and grapefruit notes.

ABV: 5.1% – IBU: 40

Best Coast IPA

Classic west coast style IPA made with Pacific North West hops for hints of pine and grapefruit.

ABV: 6.5% – IBU: 55

Whimsical Ginger Lime Gose

This lime forward gose has a nice ginger spice note and a hint of salt. Very refreshing.

ABV: 4.2% – IBU: 5

The Jam Plan Wheat Ale

Packed full of strawberries and rhubarb to give you all the delicious flavours you’re looking for.

ABV: 5.0% – IBU: 5

Flaskers Ale

English malts yield toasty flavours, balanced by old-world hops that add notes of stonefruit and berry.

ABV: 4.5% – IBU: 10

‘Tastes Like Another’ Caramel Cream Ale

Enjoy a delicate caramel sweetness with hints of toffee and honey.

ABV: 5.2% – IBU: 35
