Giants Earn Three of a Possible Four Points in Prince George with a 5-3 Win
The Vancouver Giants lost a 3-0 lead but came back to beat the Prince George Cougars 5-3 Saturday night at the CN Centre.
Tim Traber scored at 14:05 of the second period to break the three-all tie to help the Giants to the victory.Cain Franson registered a goal and two assists and was named first star of the game.
Dalton Thrower had a goal and an assist and was named third star. Jackson Houck also had a goal and an assist on the night.
Blake Orban had Vancouver’s other goal.
The win improves the Giants’ record to 12-11-4-2 and puts them above .500 for the first time this season.
Vancouver had a season-high 54 shots on goal in the game.Jared Rathjen made 31 saves for the win.
