Koby Morrisseau Added To Long-Term Injured List
SPOKANE, Wash. – The Spokane Chiefs announced on Monday that forward Koby Morrisseau has been added to the team’s long-term injured reserve list and will not play for the remainder of the 2016-17 season.
“After further review and consideration with medical professionals and his family, we have decided to shut Koby down for the rest of the year,” said Chiefs’ General Manager Scott Carter. “His health is our top priority. We wish him the best as he works toward a full recovery.”
Morrisseau, a 16-year-old forward out of Grandview, Manitoba, was the Chiefs’ second pick (first round, ninth overall) of the 2015 WHL Bantam Draft. He appeared in 22 games this season, scoring one goal and one assist. He last played on December 13 at Seattle before leaving with an upper-body injury.
Morrisseau will remain on the Chiefs’ protected player list.
