‘Tis the season!
The Saskatoon Blades want to celebrate the holidays with you beginning this weekend with a pair of home games. The team is back from their 2 week road trip through the United States and ready to get back on home ice.
Saturday, December 9th, the Blades host the Kamloops Blazers for Girls Rock Night featuring special guest host Claire Hanna. Claire currently works as a sports reporter for Global TV in Saskatoon and will be sharing her story as a former professional volleyball player and representative of the Canadian Nation Women’s team. Game time is 7:00pm at SaskTel Centre.
Sunday, December 10th, the Blades welcome their arch-rivals in the Prince Albert Raiders for the firs time this season for the annual Teddy Bear Toss game presented by The Brick. Fans can bring new or gently used Teddy’s or purchase “Brickly Bears” for $20 at the door, courtesy of The Brick. The Funds raised and Teddy’s collected will go towards local children in need. ame time is 2:00pm at SaskTel Centre and you can bring your skates to hit the ice with the team after the game! The Blades will don specially themed jerseys that will be unveiled tomorrow. Furthermore, on game night fans can purchase teddy bears donned in Blades’ t-shirts for $25 at Al Anderson’s Frozen Pond at Sasktel Centre.
Other December games include Tuesday, December 12th for Toonie Tuesday against the Lethbridge Hurricanes… Saturday, December 16th the Blades host the Kelowna Rockets at 7:00pm.
Sunday, December 17th marks the final game before the Christmas break as they Blades welcome the Memorial Cup host Regina Pats for the annual Sing For Santa game. Puck drop is at 4:00pm at SaskTel Centre.
