67’s sign 10th round pick Jaxon Williams
The Ottawa 67’s have announced that forward Jaxon Williams has signed an Ontario Hockey League Scholarship and Development Agreement.
“Jaxon was a key player on a strong Carolina Hurricanes 16U team last season,” said 67’s General Manager James Boyd. “His game has shown continual progression, and we are pleased that Jaxon has chosen the 67’s for the next phase of his hockey development.”
Williams, 16, suited up for the Carolina Jr. Hurricanes this past season, where he scored 32 goals and 38 assists for 70 points in 51 games. The 5-foot-10 right winger also spent some time in the Tier 1 Elite Hockey League, recording six goals and two assists for eight points in 12 games.
A product of Cary, North Carolina, Williams was selected 202nd overall by Ottawa in the 2024 OHL Priority Selection. He is the son of former NHLer Justin Williams, also known as “Mr. Game 7”, due to his outstanding performances in those deciding games throughout his career.
