Evan is in his second year with the Sudbury Wolves after being selected in the fourth round, 71st overall in the 2020 OHL Priority Selection. Born in Newmarket, ON, the Pittsburgh resident, spent the 2019-20 season with the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite U15 team. In 55 games, he scored 36 goals and had 27 assists for a total of 63 points. As a dual citizen, Konyen also received an invitation to the USA Hockey Development camp during the summer of 2021 for the U17 – Five Nations Tournament team. In his first season with the Wolves, he recorded 50 points (16G, 34A) in 66 games. He was ranked 85th in the NHL Central Scouting final rankings of North American Skaters for the 2022 NHL Draft. Evan attended the 2022 Vancouver Canucks Young Stars Classic Prospect camp in September 2022 in Penticton, BC.
