Wolves Announce 2023-24 Year-End Award Winners
(Greater Sudbury, ON) With the conclusion of the 2023-24 season, the Sudbury Wolves announce the player year-end awards.
Last season a new award was introduced, the Jim Pappin Memorial Award which is presented to a player who demonstrates the same high level of intensity and compete on a daily basis throughout the entire season. This season Nathan Villeneuve was awarded with these honours following his second OHL season where he registered 50 points, 23 goals, 27 assists and a +10.
This season saw many players achieve milestones and set franchise records. Some notable milestones included both David Goyette and Quentin Musty each recorded over 100 points in the regular season, eight players scored 20+ goals in the regular season as well as three players with 40+ goals, Jakub Vondras’s first career post-season shutout and Kocha Delic’s first post-season hat trick.
David Goyette led the pack this season with 117 points that included 40 goals and 77 assists across 68 games. David also led the OHL in points earning the Eddie Powers Memorial Trophy. Not far behind was Quentin Musty with 102 points, 43 goals and 59 assists and Dalibor Dvorsky with 88 points, 45 goals and 43 assists. Overage defenceman, Andre Anania finshed third in the league and led the team for plus-minus with a plus 49 finishing the season with a career high of 41 points, 10 gaols and 31 assists.
