About the Sudbury Wolves Hockey Club
The Sudbury Wolves joined the Ontario Hockey League in 1972 and are about to embark on their 50th anniversary season. The Wolves boast one of the most productive teams in terms of producing NHL players, captains and leaders at professional levels of hockey. The Sudbury Wolves are one of the most iconic members of the Ontario Hockey League. The Wolves are the cornerstone of the hockey and entertainment communities within Greater Sudbury. The club changed ownership after 30 years in September of 2016, when Dario Zulich purchased the team and has since been on a mission to inspire the community.
About SW Sports & Entertainment (SWSE)
The Sudbury Wolves are members of the SW Sports and Entertainment (SWSE) family. SWSE is the is the organizational structure of the company including the Sudbury Wolves Hockey Club, the Food & Beverage organization that serves events at the arena and the promotion company that seeks to attract live shows and events as well as SWSE Advertising which includes digital billboard and advertising and transit Out-of-Home Advertising. In the spring of 2017, SWSE welcomed the Sudbury Spartans Football Club to the family and in May of 2018, the Sudbury Five Basketball team.
About Greater Sports Apparel
Greater Sports is SWSE’s official store, encompassing all SWSE franchises, the Sudbury Wolves, Sudbury Five and Sudbury Spartans, selling merchandise and apparel for all three teams. Fans can also purchase tickets in the store through an interactive iPad connected to the Sudbury Community Arena ticketing website. Greater Sports Apparel is located in the New Sudbury Centre, close to Entrance 5, facing Champs.
About the Sudbury Five Basketball Team
In May 2017, it was announced NBL Canada would expand it’s footprint to Northeastern Ontario and locate in Greater Sudbury with a franchise that launched in the 2018-19 season. The brand and team logo for the Sudbury Five were revealed in May of 2018 and the new team became a B tenant in the Sudbury Arena. The Sudbury Five are a professional basketball team with a mixture of Canadian and American players. The FIVE captured the hearts and energy of the Sudbury Basketball community instantly and fans love the atmosphere that it brings.

About the Sudbury Spartans Football Club
In 1952 the Spartans Football team was born in the form of the Sudbury Hardrocks. in 1967, then Head Coach Sid Forster renamed the team “Spartans.” League expansion into southern Ontario stirred much excitement and some trepidation among local gridiron fans. The team claims 18 Northern Football Conference (NFC) league championships, a mark unrivalled by any other NFC team. After a brief 4 season suspension of operations, the team rejoined the NFC in 2011. In 2014 team ownership changed to two dedicated volunteers, Bill Costello and Gord Goddard. In April 2017, Dario Zulich, owner of the Sudbury Wolves extended an offer to include Spartan Football, in the Wolves family and announced the ownership change. With the support of a thriving football scene, the recently expanded Gladiators organization and successful Joe MacDonald Development league, the club has been operating in the NFC with a renewed sense of enthusiasm and determination to return to glory.

About the Sudbury JV Spartans Football Club
New to the Sudbury football scene in 2019, the JV Spartans close a gap that had been left where football in Sudbury had been absent. Football players will now have the chance to be a Spartan for life as they start with the Junior Spartans and make their way up to the Senior Men’s Spartans team. The Spartans and Junior Spartans are led by Bill Costello (Spartans General Manager) and Gord Goddard (Junior Spartans General Manager). The JV Spartans join the Ontario Provincial Football League (OPFL), which will provide the players with the competition they need to grow as players and be physically and mentally ready for the Spartans when that time comes. The JV Spartans play May to July at the James Jerome Field.
