Training Camp Roster Announced
The Sarnia Sting Hockey Club announced today the final roster for the clubs 2005 Training Camp which opens Monday August 29th at the Sarnia Sports and Entertainment Centre.
There will be 41 players in camp, including a number of 2005 Sting Draft Picks who will arrive on Thursday September 1st and remain through the annual Sting Black and White Game, Saturday September 3rd at 4:00 PM.
The Sting have worked out an agreement with the Kingston Frontenacs that will allow 1985 D.O.B player and Sarnia native Shawn Futers to take part in camp on a try out basis. A similar agreement has been worked out with Windsor that will allow Sting draft pick Jeremy Resse to try out with the Spitfires.
The Sting have also announced that forward Mathis Olimb will not arrive in camp until September 14th due to academic commitments as well a commitment with the Norwegian National Team.
Players will register on Sunday at the SSEC with on ice sessions beginning Monday.
