Sting Fall To Hounds
The Sarnia Sting boarded the bus on Wednesday making the long trek to Sault Ste. Marie in search of their third straight win.
Winning in Sault Ste. Marie would prove to be a tough task as the Greyhounds have yet to lose in regulation and are currently ranked second in the CHL Top Ten Rankings.
The Sting would actually get off to a good start in this one when Steven Stamkos would open the scoring putting the Sting up 1-0 midway through the first period.
Unfortunately for the Sting it would be all Hounds after that goal.
The Soo would unload on the Sting the rest of the way scoring seven of the next eight goals to win the game 7-2.
Justin DiBenedetto would get the other Sting goal.
The Sting look to rebound this weekend with a pair of games at the SSEC.
On Friday the Barrie Colts make their only appearance in Sarnia this season followed by the lone visit of Brian Kilrea and his Ottawa 67’s on Saturday. Start time for both games is 7:30.
