Sting Drop Preseason Opener
London, ON – It didn’t take Nazem Kadri very long to become comfortable in his new settings.
The London native acquired in a trade with the Kitchener Rangers had a goal and an assist and was named the games first star in a 4-1 London win over the Sting.
Rookie Cody Hall scored the lone Sting goal with Steven Reese picking up the assist.
Andrew Perugini (24 saves) and Johnathon McQueen (14 saves) split time in net for the Sting allowing two goals each.
The Sting will play their Black and White game featuring Steven Stamkos, Ryan Wilson and Jamie Fraser on Saturday at 4:00. Admission is just $2 with all proceeds going to the United Way of Sarnia-Lambton.
On Sunday the Sting and Knights will take to the ice at the SSEC as preseason play continues. Game time on Sunday is 2:00.
