Sting Acquire Draft Picks From IceDogs in Exchange for Forward Nolan Dann
Sarnia Sting General Manager Dylan Seca announced this morning that the Hockey Club has acquired Kitchener’s 2023 2nd round selection, Oshawa’s 2025 2nd round pick and Niagara’s 2026 5th round pick from the IceDogs in exchange for 2003-born Forward Nolan Dann.
Dann, a native of Cambridge, Ontario, was selected by the Sting in the 4th round of the 2019 Ontario Hockey League (OHL) Priority Selection with the 68th overall pick. Through 64 games played with the Sting during the 2021-22 regular season, his first in the OHL, the 5’10” left-shooting winger tallied 29 goals and 28 assists for a total of 57 points.
On the trade, Seca comments:
“This was a tough trade to make because Nolan is a great teammate. However, we have some other young talented forwards that are ready to breakout and this deal will provide us with some valuable assets that can be used to upgrade the team down the stretch. We wish Nolan all the best with Niagara.”
A brilliant forward and terrific teammate on and off the ice. Thank you, Nolan!
