Stamkos Takes Part In Awards Night
Sarnia, ON – The 2009 Sarnia Sting Draft Class was welcomed to the organization on Friday night by former Sting and current Tampa Bay Lightning forward Steven Stamkos.
Stamkos met with the prospects prior to the Sting Awards Ceremony in the Sting dressing room.
During the awards ceremony Stamkos took the stage and spoke directly to the draft picks as well as their parents as he spoke about his experiences playing in the OHL.
Stamkos praised the Sting coaching staff and landparents as being first class which enabled him to make a smooth transition from minor hockey and helped him realize his goal of making it to the NHL.
The entire Sarnia Sting organization would like to thank Steven for taking time out of his hectic schedule to be a part of the Awards Ceremony.
