Sarnia Sting Supports Healthy Smiles Ontario
Every child deserves the chance to have a healthy smile and a healthy life; however, not all children have access to a dentist. The County of Lambton offers several dental options to eligible children.
Healthy Smiles Ontario (HSO) is a dental program offered free to eligible children 17 years old and younger through the Child Health and Dental Services Department.
HSO provides basic dental care such as cleaning, fillings, X-rays, scaling and more. To be eligible you must: be an Ontario resident, have an adjusted family net income of $20,000 or less, and you have no access to any form of dental coverage.
If your child has tooth pain, and is in need of urgent care, the Children In Need Of Treatment (CINOT) program is offered. Your children may qualify if paying for dental care is difficult and you have no dental coverage.
For more information or to see if your family qualifies for dental services, call Child Health and Dental Services Department at 519 383-8331 ext. 3531 or toll free 1-800-667-1839. You can also visit www.lambtonhealth.on.ca.
