Preisinger Reports To Camp
Sarnia, ON Sarnia Sting General Manager Alan Millar announced this morning that the hockey club has signed forward Miroslav Preisinger, the Sting’s first round selection in the 2008 CHL Import Draft.
Preisinger a native of Bratislava, Slovakia, reported Sunday morning for fitness testing as the Sting opened up its 2008 Training Camp at the Sarnia Sports and Entertainment Centre and will hit the ice today as on ice sessions get under way.
We are very pleased that Miroslav and his family have made the decision to come to Canada and pursue his hockey goals with the Sarnia Sting Hockey Club. The next step in the transfer process with Miroslav is to finalize the paperwork on his IIHF transfer agreement from HC Bratislava which we understand will be a formality and should be completed within the next several days Millar stated.
Preisinger played last season with HC Bratislava and also has experience representing Slovakia at the International level as he played this past season in the World Under 17 Hockey Challenge, the IIHF World Under 18 Championship and most recently the Ivan Hlinka Under 18 World Cup.
