OHL Priority Selection This Saturday
The 2004 OHL Priority Selection will be held on Saturday May 1 beginning at 9:00 a.m.
Prospective players and their families, along with the media and fans from around the league will be able to follow the entire proceedings online in real time right here at www.ontariohockeyleague.com.
We will also have a special live audio show with host Terry Doyle from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on draft day. Terry will talk to selected players, team personnel and scouts during the show.
Please note that Central Scouting information on eligible players for the OHL Priority Selection is available only to OHL team and league personnel. It is not released to the public or media.
The 2004 OHL Priority Selection will consist of 15 rounds of selections. The Belleville Bulls will select first overall, followed by the Saginaw Spirit and Peterborough Petes. Teams select in inverse order of the final regular season standings with non- playoff teams selecting before playoff teams.

Jack Ferguson Award History
The Fergie is presented annually to the player selected first overall in the Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection. The award recognizes the dedication and contributions made by Jack Ferguson during his 25 year association with the Ontario Hockey League, first as a scout with the Ottawa 67’s and followed by his appointment as head of the OHL’s Central Scouting Bureau in 1981 as its Director of Central Scouting.
