Ice Dogs Take A Bite Out Of Sting
Mississauga, ON The Sarnia Sting made their one and only visit to the Hershey Centre in Mississauga on Sunday.
The Sting headed into Sunday’s game facing their third game in as many days playing the first two shorthanded due to suspension and injuries.
Sunday’s game would be the team’s third straight without leading scorer Chad Painchaud.
Veteran Rich Clune and rookie Harrison Reed continued to pick up the slack in Painchaud’s absence picking up a goal and an assist each. The recently surging Ryan McInerney would round out the Sting scoring.
Unfortunately for the Sting they would allow 5 Ice Dog’s goals making it a 5-3 final in favour of Mississauga.
Rookie Parker Van Buskirk made his second start in three games taking the loss but making 29 saves.
