Davis Brown Commits To Sting
Sarnia, ON – Sarnia Sting Head Coach and General Manager Jacques Beaulieu announced today that the hockey club has signed forward Davis Brown to an OHL Contract and Education Package.
Beaulieu had the following comment on the signing.
“Davis was one of the top goal scorers available in last year’s draft and for us to be able to sign a player with his talent and pure goal scoring ability it is going to pay big dividends down the road for our organization.”
Beaulieu adds, “We are extremely pleased to have a commitment from Davis and his family to the Sarnia Sting and the Ontario Hockey League. We feel Davis is a pro-caliber player with a bright future in hockey. As well, in signing this agreement should he chose an alternate route he now has an Ontario Hockey League Scholarship available to him. We look forward to developing Davis both as a hockey player and as an individual during his time with the Sarnia Sting.”
Brown currently playing with the Strathroy Rockets of the GOJHL is having a very strong season. He currently leads the Rockets in goals (12) and points (21) in just 15 games and is also in the top-20 in scoring for the entire GOJHL.
Last season with the Elgin-Middlesex Chiefs Brown led all draft eligible players with 71 goals and had 113 points.
