Clune, Painchaud and Katic On Coaches Poll

Toronto, ON – The Ontario Hockey League has released the results of the 2005-2006 OHL Coaches Poll for the Western Conference this morning.

A trio of Sting players were recognized for various skills that the coaches vote on.

Underage defenceman Mark Katic was the only player from his draft class to be recognized in the West. The native of Porcupine, ON finished 3rd behind Andrej Sekera and Robbie Drummond in the Best Skater category.

Leading scorer Chad Painchaud scored many goals this season from the slot area showing off the shot that was deemed 3rd best in the conference behind Rob Schremp and Mike Blunden.

Finally the other co-Captain made it on to the list as Richard Clune who always finished his checks was named in the Best Body Checker category finishing 3rd behind Jordan Foreman and Jared Boll.
