Camp Golden
PIESTANY, Slovakia – Sunday evening in Piestany will go down in Canadian Hockey history as another golden moment as the Canadian Under 18 team defeated the host Czech Republic for the second time in the tournament to be crowned champions.
Following an exhibition loss to the Czech’s, Team Canada got on a roll and wouldnt look back going 5-0-0 in the Under 18 World Junior Cup.
Canada won by a score of 5-3 in the final getting a pair of goals from Mitch Fadden and singles from Zach Hamil, Logan Pyette, and James Sheppard.
The win gave the Canadian program its ninth win in the last 10 years at the tournament.
