Sarnia is set to host a night of pride, friendly rivalry, and community impact with the first annual Battle of the Badges on Friday, January 24 at Progressive Auto Sales Arena proudly sponsored by Work Authority.
“Sarnia is a hockey town,” shared Deputy Chief Mike Van Sickle, who has been with the Sarnia Police Service for 21 years. “Anytime we can get together with our colleagues from Sarnia Fire, it’s a great opportunity to have a fun hockey game. This is also a great chance for us to raise money for the Huron House Boys Home, which is an exceptional organization here in Sarnia, and be able to raise funds for them to use where they’re needed most.”
The game will see members of Sarnia Fire and Sarnia Police Services lace up and face off on the ice, competing not only for bragging rights but also to support a meaningful local cause.

This exciting matchup features teams made up of players from both services as they battle it out to claim the title in the inaugural edition of this community showdown.
